New years new Goals
I’m not a fan of New Year's Resolutions. I think the word carries both too much weight and too little meaning. We make these grandiose promises to ourselves that are often too big to actually accomplish or practically speaking are not what you really want to do, and in the back of our heads we know we’ll break them in a week. So instead I like New Year’s Goals; things that I’m aspiring to work toward and/or accomplish over the next 12 months. As long as I’m moving forward, I’m never failing and always gives me the opportunity to try again.
The three things that are important to me are living intentionally, striving to be more minimalistic, and always improving (Kaizen). I’m still working on my specific goals for this year. I have a couple in mind, and I encourage all of you to start working on yours as well.
If you improve your life by 1% every day. (Something that is barely noticeable.) Over the course of 1 year you can improve your life by 3778%.
So look at your health, your food, your style, your mind, your relationships, your stuff, your job, your gaming table. What can you do to make them 1% better today?
